If you want to expand your whiskey and adult beverage collection, you won't be disappointed if you start looking at flavored whiskey. Other types of alcohol, including vodka and gin, come in flavored options as well, so make sure you explore all your options before selecting just one flavored alcohol for your personal consumption.

Go to your local liquor store to have more options regarding flavored whiskey as well as syrups and other things that can help you make mixed drinks and tasty concoctions at home. As always, drink responsibly and never drink and operate machinery, including vehicles and home motorized equipment.

Something sugar-free

Often, whiskey adds calories and carbs to your diet so if you are working on drinking beverages that are going to help you celebrate but not add to your waistline, stick to sugar-free or low-sugar additives. Not all whiskeys will have this option but it's worth keeping an eye on.

Something unique

To really make your flavored whiskey work for you, look up recipes you want to check out before you go to the liquor store. There's little sense in buying flavored whiskey that will sit on a shelf because you don't know how to mix it. (Note: any whiskey can taste great with flavor-free soda water.) Buy something unique with vanilla, cinnamon, or a fruity flavor of whiskey to help you take your alcohol mixing to a whole new level of fun.

Something easy to mix

Not all flavored whiskey is easy to mix with other drinks, but some are. For example, a pickle or other food-based whiskey may be hard to mix in drinks, but peanut butter whiskey or other types of whiskey can easily mix with other flavors to make fun drinks at home. You may mix a whiskey with flavor additives with other types of flavored alcohol, so feel free to get creative and make up your own drinks.

Unsure of what to buy? Buy smaller bottles of flavored whiskey shots to try at home and then buy larger bottles of the flavors and brands you like best. This way, you can explore your flavor tastes but not have to worry about spending a lot of money on a whiskey flavor you may not like.

Your local liquor store may have many of the flavored whiskeys you seek. Your options may also include being able to buy some of your flavored whiskeys online to broaden your options.
